Sport cars are commonly fitted with more complex sensors and cameras around the windscreen area. Replacing the glass calls for a higher level of skill and careful work, because hidden wiring must not be cut while the old windscreen is removed.

Precise Positioning

The new windscreen has to sit in exactly the right position. If it is even slightly off, systems that rely on the windscreen area may not work as intended, and the car may need to go back to the manufacturer's service centre for adjustment.

Time Needed

After the Replacement

You can drive the car straight away. Avoid car washes for three days so that chemicals and high-pressure water do not affect the adhesive; normal rain is fine. In most cases no recalibration is needed. In a small number of cases, for example when a sensor position is slightly off, the car may need to visit the manufacturer's service centre for calibration.
